In this month’s Style Spotlight we chat with Linda Voight about her decade long experience at The Difference despite living in Michigan! Linda’s story shares how The Difference continues to be a place of connection and curated fashion no matter where you live!
How long have you been a client of The Difference? A LOOOOOONG TIME! Somewhere between 10 and 15 years. My sister, Diane Murphy, introduced me to The Difference and whenever I’m visiting from Michigan, we shop together!
Describe your lifestyle as it relates to your personal style: I work in the home office of an interior designer. I would say I dress “smart” casual. I work alone most of the time, so I dress for myself. I wear what makes me feel good so I can move through my day with energy and purpose, while striving to both look and feel great.
Tell us about shopping virtually with The Difference and working with a Personal Stylist. A great example is a recent birthday shopping trip my sister Diane treated me too. Personal Stylist, Daron Deonier was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We met via Zoom, and Diane and Daron worked together in advance to pull some pieces they thought fit my vibe. On the Zoom call, they both tried on pieces for me so I could see them. It far exceeded my expectations! I hate to shop so this was an absolutely great way to see a variety of pieces from the comfort of my own bedroom! When my box of goodies arrived a few days later, I was blown away by how much I loved every single thing we chose together and how the items mix and match to make many new looks.
Any other special memories at The Difference you want share? All my trips to The Difference have been fun events. One particular favorite was when our mom was with us. The three of us shopped together trying on pieces and giving feedback. We laughed and laughed and had the best time.
