When and how did you hear about The Difference?
Around 2 years ago my friend, Debbie Staats had an event at The Difference (Vancouver location) where she invited a group of ladies to come hangout, meet the stylists, and shop. I almost didn’t come because it was a bit out of my comfort zone and I usually dread shopping, but I really wanted to hangout with Debbie, and so I showed up and am so glad I did! We had a great time. That’s I met Kirsti, my stylist.
Describe your lifestyle:
My lifestyle itself seems active and hectic and always on the go, especially with two young kids. I’m constantly trying to figure out a reasonable balance when it comes to juggling family, work – I’m an Electrical Engineer, and self-care (still haven’t figured it out ?).
Style-wise I would say I’m definitely more casual and like a relaxed look. I like feeling comfortable. However, I also like being able to intertwine that with looking professional enough for work (when we were in the office).
Describe some of your favorite things about your Stylist and experience at The Difference?
Kirsti is wonderful! From the beginning she took the time to get to know me as a person and also got to know what my “style” was. She’s great at picking out clothes that I both feel comfortable and confident in yet also might not have picked out myself.
She’s incredibly patient and never makes me feel like any of my questions are stupid. She’s also honest about what works and what doesn’t. She’s extremely responsive when you reach out to her and she encourages you to do so with questions anytime. She’s also proactive in reaching out to schedule appointments and makes sure you are aware of client deals going on, yet she’s never pushy with any of those things.
Do you have a favorite outfit/product/memory associated with The Difference?
Probably a jean short jumper. It’s something I never would have picked out for myself on my own, but now that I have it, I love it and feel comfortable in it.
What’s something you’d share with women to encourage them to shop at The Difference?
Whether you like to shop or you don’t (or anywhere in between), you can’t go wrong shopping at The Difference. I can’t say enough great things about working with a stylist like Kirsti. It’s great having someone help find things that work for you whether it’s clothes, jewelry, or even skin care. The fact that the stylists take the time to get to know you makes a huge difference in the support they provide! Also, all of the employees I’ve interacted with at The Difference have always been very kind and helpful.
